These terms and conditions cover any transactions, purchases or orders placed with Waldman Studios (Pty) Ltd whether online, via email, in person or any other form. By placing an order, or making a purchase with Waldman Studios (Pty) Ltd The Client acknowledges and accepts the following Terms and Conditions without exception. The Client agrees to be bound by and shall be regarded to have accepted these Terms & Conditions, and The Client acknowledges to have read and understood them.
All art-pieces are made-to-order, upon receiving the total payment amount, your purchase will be secured and proceed to be placed into production. No purchases will be processed without total payment or proof of payment supplied. A 50% deposit is required to start your project. If samples are needed, a 10% payment of the total amount is due before the deposit. The remaining balance must be paid in full 7 days before the project is completed. All currencies are quoted in South African Rands (ZAR).
Should The Client wish to cancel their purchase, and The Client’s art-piece has not yet been placed into production, a 50% cancellation penalty will be constituted from the purchase’s total value and the client will forfeit their deposit fee.
Each project is unique. Some projects take months to develop, sample and install and others might have a very short turnaround time. Please enquire about lead time based on the project. We will begin processing your order as soon as the quote is accepted, and the initial deposit payment is received. Please note that ceramics will have a longer lead-time than most substrates. However we do work on a minimum lead time of 3-6 weeks depending on the project.
The Client agrees to be considerate, and acknowledges that the current load shedding dilemma in RSA might have an impact on extended lead-times. We will however communicate if this is something that might affect your order.
Due to the unique nature of our art-pieces and the fact that each piece is made-to-order and custom Waldman Studios PTY (LTD) cannot not accept any returns.
We ship our goods worldwide and our sales team can quote on delivery costs for both domestic and international customers. Our prices do not include:
*Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU): We ensure your goods arrive safely at their destination, but you are responsible for import duties.
Design Process Overview
At Waldman Studios, we are committed to providing our clients within the luxury market with exceptional art installations and decor items. To ensure a seamless and collaborative design experience, we have outlined the following process:
Initial Briefing by Client
The design process begins when the client provides us with the initial project briefing, including their vision, requirements, and preferences.
Briefing Artist/Designer
Our team at Waldman Studios reviews the client’s briefing and assigns a dedicated artist/designer to the project who
will be responsible for bringing the vision to life.
Creation of Design Package
The assigned artist/designer works closely with our team to create a comprehensive design package that includes: concept sketches, materials selection, and estimated project timelines.
Client Approval of Package
The design package is presented to the client for their review and approval. Any necessary revisions are made at this stage to ensure alignment with the client’s vision.
Lead Time
Upon approval of the design package, a lead time of 6 to 8 weeks is required to prepare for the project.
Quotation Submission
After the design package is approved, Waldman Studios prepares a detailed project quotation, including costs and timelines.
Client Approval and Deposit
The client reviews the quotation and, upon approval, pays the required deposit to initiate the project.
Artist/Designer Deposit
Waldman Studios disburses a deposit to the assigned artist/designer to commence work on the project.
Production Layout/Drawings
The artist/designer begins creating layout/fake layout/drawings based on the approved design package.
Production with Stipulated Reverts
Production of the design layout proceeds, incorporating any stipulated revisions as necessary.
Additional Reverts
Please note that any additional revisions beyond the stipulated number will incur an hourly rate cost. We strive to keep the design process efficient while maintaining quality.
Client Samples
When stipulated, a sample of the design will be provided to the client for their inspection and final approval.
Manufacturing
Upon the client’s approval, we proceed to the manufacturing phase to bring the design to life.
Installation and Care Instructions
After manufacturing, Waldman Studios provides detailed installation instructions and care guidelines to ensure the longevity and maintenance of the art installation or decor item.
